Alessandro Bovio was a small-scale winemaker in La Morra.

Gianfranco, an acclaimed restaurateur in La Morra, began taking care of his father’s estate. He started renovating the old winery, devoting his time lovingly to the production of wines from the estate’s vineyards.

The first Nebbiolo was released onto the market.

New vineyards were planted and the winery grew.
The first Barolo Gattera dell’Annunziata was released in 1977.

Major expansion and renovation of the cellar.

Gianfranco Bovio’s granddaughter Elisa was born. The Barolo Riserva 2004 is dedicated to her.

Alessandra, Gianfranco’s daughter, and her husband Marco took over the management of the estate, representing the third generation.
